DAY #19 ...... Headed from Cedar City, Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada.
We headed over to ZIONS NATIONAL PARK from our hotel in Cedar City. It was only about an hours drive. We are so glad we went when we did because the rain clouds set in as we pulled into Zions! The view was beautiful driving in!!
We LOVED visiting Zions and sure wish the weather had cooperated for us!! Even though it didn't, it was still beautiful and we enjoyed getting wet!! Here is what is called THE PATRIARCH....Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
It was gorgeous even with the rainy weather.
We had to do a LOT of looking UP to capture the beauty.
As we left Zions and headed toward Las Vegas, we stopped long enough in St. George to see the Temple. So glad we did. It was beautiful.
Just outside of St. George is the ARIZONA state line. We had forgotten we would cross that little corner of Arizona there.
Soon thereafter we finally made it to NEVADA!!!
Our first stop in North Las Vegas was the Bahama Buck's Shaved Ice place. It has only been open 3 weeks.
Tyler Foote is the owner. He is also one of the sons of President and Sister Foote of the Georgia Atlanta Mission. Sister Foote had told me that Tyler had just opened this location and that IF our time permitted, we should go by and say hi to him. We decided to stop and do just that.
So glad we stopped because these Hawaiian Ice were SO GOOD!!! And Tyler gave us a 'missionary' discount! That was so sweet of him.
We were then on to downtown Las Vegas to the 'strip'. Yes, I found a couple of things here in this gift shop.
Our most favorite place to visit is the BELAGIO HOTEL to watch the water show. It did not disappoint tonight. Loved it. We watch 2 shows.....they are every 30 minutes.
