Day #15 - Saturday around Mapleton and Provo and in-between!!

We were to have a cookout at Mel and Denise's home later in the evening and I was in charge of fixing most of the food!!!  Homemade coleslaw, homemade chili sauce, homemade potato salad.....purchasing hotdogs and buns and whatever else.  Mel and Denise provided their home.  Grandpa has gotten really good at helping me chop the cabbage for the coleslaw.  Ollie is now very proficient in helping as well!!

That's a BIG bowl of chopped cabbage and carrots!

In the meantime, Grandpa went with Henry to his soccer game....there was a lot of dividing and conquering to be done today.

As we drove to Mel and Denise's home, it was evident that it was GAME DAY for BYU!!!  Lots of 'Y' Spirit around campus!  As it should be.

Much to our surprise, Wendell also came to the cookout.  He lives in California and drove his new camper up.  How fun to see him.  He is 85 years old now.  Uncle Mel is the baby of his family.  These are the last 2 siblings of my mother that are still living of the 6 children.

Just a few of the family who came for the fun event!!

Uncle Mel was the chief cook and bottle washer.  Well, at least the chief cook....he cooked those 'dawgs' real good!!

And HERE is the result of the homemade 'everything' put together.  The best CHILI DAWGS around!!

Just having a little fun with Uncle Mel.

Andy and Geralyn surprised me with an early birthday cake!!  OH MY GOODNESS was it ever gorgeous.  I have Never EVER had such a beautiful cake.  So much detail.  Thank you guys SO MUCH!!

I really didn't want to cut it because it was so cool.....Dad had to go help Kevin with a work project so he wasn't there to help me cut it.  SO....'Buck-Baby' helped me cut it.

Meanwhile, back to the 'get up' clothes for this event.....Orange pants and green cowboy boots.  Now, you don't get much better than that do you.  Love the green boots!!

AND, meanwhile, where Kevin and Dad are.....working hard trying to get a work project done!
Bless their hearts!  What a great day....and the adventure DOES continue!!
