DAY #22 - Around Peoria....BAPTISM DAY FOR CREW!!
Well, we finally got to attend Crew's Baptism today. And, this is what our whole 36-day road trip was scheduled around!!! It was foto time before leaving for the big event.
And, of course, a foto with grandma and grandpa Allgaier with the Baptismal boy.
I remember a foto taken of myself with my mother and Becky when Becky was much younger. It seemed appropriate to have a three-general foto of us girls....Becky, Claire and me.
David and Becky planned a family and friend lunch for Crew prior to the Baptism. Same place that Claire's had her baptismal lunch. It was really good Mexican food.
During the little 'interlude' time when Crew and David were changing their clothes after the actual baptism, Becky handed out cards for everyone to write a little note to Crew that he could have for years to come. Crew was so cute....he was anxious to just dive right in and start reading his cards.
Dad and I taking advantage of a few minutes 'down time' before Becky and Claire and I headed back to church for the General Women's Broadcast from Salt Lake City at the church tonight. It was a GREAT Broadcast.....got to remember the phrase from President Uchtdorf that was great..."FOURTH FLOOR, LAST DOOR". It should be remembered for a LONG time....great story on FAITH.
After the conference, Becky, Claire and I needed to stop at the grocery store to pick up a few things. Becky decided to take a foto of my shopping list. LOVE that the pumpkins where in the background. Added a nice touch to the foto.
As we were leaving to head back to Becky's home, it was just another pretty western sunset!!
The F.U.N. just continues. We are so blessed to be able to make this trip.
