DAY #21 - Kingman, AZ to our finally destination before making the trip back
to the 515....Peoria, Arizona

We stopped by Emmy and Jacob's home on our way out of Kingman.  Emmy had a gift she wanted to give us.....a beautiful tablecloth from Hong Kong.  Can't wait to use it!!

As we left Kingman, AZ and headed south toward Peoria, this is pretty much what our drive was like....the phrase "the lone and
dreary world" comes to mind!!

LOVED the variety of cacti!!

We did stop at this cute little shop along the way, however.  Just had to have our foto taken.  Why not!?

I did find a 'boulder creek turquoise" ring that I really liked so I got an early birthday present!

We also found "NOTHING" in the middle of NOWHERE!  This little town didn't quite make it!!

Loved the art sculpture along the route as well.

We were SO close to making it to Peoria when all of a sudden this 3-car accident happened literally seconds before we arrived.  After quickly assessing that everyone was more or less ok, dad jumped into action with helping to direct traffic.....another guy was helping with that as well.  They made a great team until the 'official' folks arrived on the scene!!

We headed straight for Becky's office!!  SO FUN to finally be here and to get to see her office first hand.  How fun....

While we ate our lunch in her office kitchen, she was hard at work!!

We had a double date in the evening....first a great dinner at Ah So....

And then to the movies to see 'Sully'....our 2nd time because we LOVED it so much the first time (for real!!).

How fun was this......the lady sitting next to me in the theater pointed to a guy walking down the steps and said 'that guy walking down the steps is the actor in the movie' where they show 2 flight simulator pilots!!  Sure enough he was in the movie.  Dad, of course, stopped to talk to him.  He shared a little about the experience of being in the movie.  He is a pilot in real life.  He had been invited to see the movie in New York when it had its first showing.  He said there was so much hoop-la that he didn't really get to enjoy the movie.  He lives here in the area and came to see it tonight for the 2nd time so he could enjoy it!!  GREAT MOVIE.
And, thus, our GREAT ADVENTURE continues!!  Loving every minute of it.
