DAY #16 - Sunday in a LOT of places!!
First of all, I let this day go by without remembering our sweet Jonathan! Four years ago today Jonathan won his battle of that awful cancer. We love him and surely miss him....as we know each of you as our family do. I think this foto was taken when he was at BYU.
We decided to go to the 9 a.m. Sacrament Meeting with Kevin and Lauren and Ele. Their good friends, the Harris's, had their daughter give her farewell talk prior to leaving this week for the MTC. She is going to FINLAND. We are so excited for her and so jealous. We truly LOVED our mission to Finland and have such wonderful friends there. The meeting was in the OLD WHITE CHURCH here in Mapleton. Cool church. I believe it is the first Ward Building in part of Utah.
This is Sisar Katie Harris. She gave a great talk. She will be a wonderful missionary!!
After church we drove Ele back up to Roy, Utah where she would meet her roommates and get a ride back up to Utah State University. She had been home for the weekend. It was fun to have her here.
After dropping her off, we headed to Bountiful, Utah to visit a few minutes with one of our 9 mission presidents and his wife.....PRESIDENT AND SISTER HARDING of the Georgia Atlanta Mission. They were so warm and wonderful and inviting....just as we knew them to be in the mission field. How fun to catch up with them for a bit.
Of course, we had to had a foto with the 4 of us! Sure do love them.
They knew we were on our way to Salt Lake City to visit with Tyler and Hollie in their apartment. We were talking to Sister Harding and President Harding picked up my purse and a beautiful Temple Book they gave us and started walking toward the car! How cute of him.
We were so glad we got to visit Hollie and Tyler in their apartment!! It is so cute and they seemed to be happy!! LOVE THEM....thank you so much for letting us visit with you!!
It is a one-bedroom loft apartment. We snapped this foto of them from the loft....aren't they just so cute!!
We decided to take a drive down to Temple Square....just a quick 2-miles from their apartment! Love it. The sun had just set and made the lighting on the temple beautiful.
And, of course, that meant we needed to have a foto of the 4 of us! Go figure.....
We headed back down to Mapleton where we were spending the night. A GREAT day....more adventure to come!!
