DAY #30 - Last day in Arizona before heading EAST!  AND a wonderful General Conference.

It has been wonderful to be here in Flagstaff with Becky and David and their family for the weekend....enjoying so much in this area, including a wonderful General Conference.

In between sessions of conference we were able to get out and take a little walk....apparently Pippa and Oreo got into a bush of some kind and got little 'needles' all in their fur.  It was time to pick those little needles out one at a time!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed walking around their neighborhood.  Reminded us of being in Peachtree City, GA during our mission - because of the golf trails and golf carts.  However, the weather was not nearly as hot as it was in PTC!

Porter and Claire enjoyed sitting out on the porch enjoying the fresh air...

We had some delicious home cooked meals today.  I cooked homemade biscuits (although at 7,000 feet in elevation, the baking was a little tricky!), homemade hash browns, crispy bacon and gravy.  Becky fixed this delicious vegetable dish.....brussel spouts, chopped acorn squash with a mixture of cinnamon, pecans and craisins.  It was delicious.  And David fixed large sausages which reminded me of the sausage we get in the Amish country.  They were delicious too!!

I was able to catch one more good sunset here in Flagstaff tonight.
As Dad and I reflect back on this past 30 days, we feel very grateful for everything we have been able to do and see.....so many beautiful sites along the way, so many wonderful friends and especially our family!  We want to thank each one of you who have made this trip possible for us....whether making time for our visits when we have been in your neck of the woods (we know how busy each of you are!) or supporting our being away from our home in Maryland yet one more time!!!  We truly appreciate all of your support.  It will be back to 'work' when we get home on Saturday afternoon, October 8th.....DAVID'S BIRTHDAY!!  We are taking 6 days to drive home....we are too old to make our days too long with the driving.  Plus, we want to be able to enjoy the sites along the way.  Not sure if or when we will be able to do this again.  So we are going to enjoy it while we are here on this trip THIS TIME!!  We love y'all...
